Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed. That’s why our out-of-hours pet emergency service is operational through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert, pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.

Expert Emergency Care for All Pets, Any Time

Our pet emergency service is the pet equivalent of A&E. Our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.

What is a Pet Emergency?

Pet health emergencies aren’t exclusive to obvious trauma and open wounds. These conditions also require emergency veterinary treatment:

Acute severe lameness
Breathing difficulties
Collapse or significant weakness
Difficulty urinating – particularly in male cats
Eye problems
Flystrike in rabbits & guinea pigs
Ingestion of toxic substance or food
Trauma such as a road traffic accident, fall, or crushing injury

Loss of thirst or appetite – rabbits especially
Opens wounds with significant bleeding
Seizures
Snake or other animal bites
Swallowing hazards – toys, food, socks, string etc.
Swollen abdomen or retching – particularly in large dogs
Vomiting and/or diarrhoea for more than 24 hours, especially if depressed

Fees

Please find a breakdown of our fees. We cannot guarantee home visits but will happily try to do them where possible. All treatment is in addition to these fees and full payment must be made at the time of treatment.
